The Pollinators

  • Barns of Rose Hill 95 Chalmers Court Berryville, VA, 22611 United States (map)

About: The Pollinators is a gripping documentary that follows migratory beekeepers as they transport billions of honeybees across the country to pollinate the crops that sustain us. But this essential process—and the bees themselves—are in crisis. Farmers, scientists, and food experts reveal how industrial agriculture, habitat loss, and widespread pesticide use are pushing pollinators to the brink, threatening the very foundation of our food system. With stunning cinematography and urgent storytelling, The Pollinators exposes the fragility of this hidden network and asks: What happens when the bees disappear?

Introducing the film, we welcome Natalie Izlar, Botany Technician for Virginia Working Landscapes, a program of the Smithsonian Conservation Biology Institute in Front Royal, for a talk about her exciting research on pollinators and the plants that sustain them.

As a special treat, we will be offering a signature honey-inspired cocktail in addition to our usual beverage selections. Stay tuned for details!
