About: Winchester Musica Viva presents an enchanting spring concert that pays tribute to the genius of Leonardo da Vinci. This unique program explores the intersections of art and science, with Renaissance compositions from da Vinci’s time, including madrigals from one of the earliest operas by Claudio Monteverdi. Featuring the newly composed set of pieces, Triptych of Knowledge by Jocelyn Hagen with texts from Leonardo’s notebook pages, and culminating with Eric Whitacre’s tour de force masterwork, Leonardo Dreams of His Flying Machine, the program will explore da Vinci’s impact on the arts through a wide variety of repertoire with narration. Drawing inspiration from his legacy of innovation and creativity, the performance promises an unforgettable blend of classical and modern choral masterpieces.

About Winchester Musica Viva: Winchester Musica Viva is a 501(c)(3) non-profit whose mission is to create artistic and cultural opportunities for musicians and the community that offer entertainment, education, and enrichment, through participation in diverse choral music. Ticket Price: All tickets are general admission. $25 in advance until 3:00 PM on the day of the event. $30 at the door. Children 12 years and below are free when accompanied by an adult.
