It’s Your War Too: The Women Who Served in WWII

This program is a partnership between The Clarke County Historical Association and Barns of Rose Hill.
For this year’s women’s history month, Learn about women’s contribution to World War II in the military. This event will include a lecture by George Mason University’s Dr. Zayna N. Bizri. She will discuss how women were recruited by the military through advertising. How did the role of women change as citizens? Why were they essential to win the war? There will be an exhibit featuring local women who were nurses, WAACs, WAVES, and Motor Corps.

Doors open at 1:30 and show starts at 2:00 PM

All Tickets are General Admission
$15 for members of The CCHA
$20 for non-members
Children: 12 years and below are free when accompanied by an adult
Tickets may be purchased in advance either online or by calling the Barns of Rose Hill Box Office at 540-955-2004 (Noon to 3:00 – Tuesday through Saturday). If you call when our Box Office is closed, please leave a message and we’ll return your call within 24 business hours. All sales are final. Exceptions for special circumstances may be made no later than 24 hours prior to performance.
