Do you love Clarke’s Great Outdoors? The Piedmont Environmental Council and the Barns of Rose Hill are sponsoring a book about nature in Clarke County, Virginia. The book launch will be coordinated with an art show at the Barns, both titled Clarke’s Great Outdoors. Photography, essays, short stories, sculpture, painting, photography, mixed media, fiber arts – any medium really – are all welcome, as long as the work is inspired by Clarke’s Great Outdoors. What do you do outside? Ride horses? Hike? Kayak? Have you seen interesting animals and birds? Do the clouds and sunsets and wide open vistas pique your interest? The show will represent the wide range of artwork (of all mediums) highlighting our beautiful landscapes.

To apply to be part of the art show and/or the book, submissions are due May 31 by emailing the editor,  Pam Lettie, at clarkesgreatoutdoors@gmail.com. Selections will be made by June 15. If sending images, email three to five low resolution images and be sure that each filename includes your name.
