This workshop is a perfect way to learn punching needle rug hooking or for those who would like to refine their rug punching technique. You can arrive knowing little to nothing and leave with a handcrafted rug ready to hang or display and have acquired the knowledge to punch hook larger rugs. Class content will include discussions on all aspects of punch needle rug hooking such as different types of punch needles, equipment, proper punching technique and lots of inspiration.

Instructor, Kathy Donovan, will lead the class in constructing their own holiday-themed rugs. Completed rug dimensions will be approximately 7″x28″. The instructors will provide all necessary tools, and the class fee covers all materials. Students may purchase the tools and frames used after the class is completed.

Friday, October 14th, 9:00 AM-4:00 PM

Saturday, October 15th, 9:00 AM-4:00 PM

Sunday, October 16th, 9:00 AM-12:00 PM

Ticket Prices & Info: $300 per person. Materials included with workshop fee. Instructor will provide all necessary tools and frames. Students will have the opportunity to purchase the tools and/or frames used at the conclusion of the class.

Tickets may be reserved in advance either online or by calling the Barns of Rose Hill Box Office at (540) 955-2004 (open Tuesday through Saturday from 12-3 PM). If you call when our Box Office is closed, please leave a message and we’ll return your call as soon as possible. All sales are final. Exceptions for special circumstances may be made no later than 24 hours prior to performance.
