About: Nominated by the United States Information Service to perform under the auspices of the American embassies, internationally regarded pianist, Neal Larrabee has toured extensively throughout Europe and the United States. A well-known favorite in Poland especially, Larrabee’s interpretations of the work of Frédéric Chopin have earned him engagements in virtually every major concert hall.
Awarded a Fulbright scholarship to study at the Moscow Conservatory, Larrabee became the fist American pianist to study in the former Soviet Union under official government sponsorship. He also studied at the Eastman School of Music, the Julliard School, and the State University of New York.
For his performance at the Barns, Larrabee’s program will include works by Ludwig van Beethoven, Frédéric Chopin, Maurice Ravel, and Franz Liszt.
Fundraiser: Proceeds from the concert will benefit the Fundacja Wolno Nam institute in Krakow, Poland, an organization that provides food and shelter for hundreds of refugees, almost all women and children, who have fled to escape the onslaught of war in Ukraine. Mr. Larrabee’s wife, a Krakow native, will personally participate in purchasing the needed goods.
Date & Time: Saturday, February 18, 2023. Doors open at 6:00 PM and the concert starts at 7:00 PM.
Ticket Price: Tickets are pay what you can. To benefit this cause, we are suggesting a donation of $25 per person.
