This class is a series of three. The classes will run the first three Saturdays of March  from 1:30 P.M. to 3:30 P.M.

This is an introductory class for those who are interested in starting to paint in oils. Oil is often intimidating to a lot of people, and it shouldn’t be. We will discover how to harness this powerful medium to create realistic images on the canvas. You will learn the tools, including colors, brushes, palette and paint thinners needed to start oil painting. You will also learn the

techniques such as wet-on-wet paint application, blending and transitioning, and edge control. We will go into color theories briefly as well as some basic value concepts.

What to bring: Brushes, canvases( 11×14)
