Juliana MacDowell
February 15, 2020 @ 8:00 PM - 10:00 PM
Event Navigation

Juliana MacDowell is a singer-songwriter whose velvety vocals and vibrant take on the Americana genre beckons audiences with endearing ease. Moving originals and stirring interpretations of popular melodies unite Juliana with audiences in unforced and memorable ways: “More than just a woman singing into a microphone…she is an entertainer who connects with fans, reaches out to them and draws them in to the power of the music.”
Juliana’s interest in music began in 1966 at age three when her musically-gifted, composer grandfather hoisted her up on the bench of his 1939 Steinway – the piano she plays to this day. “Music evokes the happiest memories of life on my grandfather’s farm, where I sang to the swallows in a cavernous barn and whistled to winged warblers in the forest.” Juliana also sang in small church choirs in the 80s and 90s (and to adoring family and pets) before being discovered in 2011 by Joey Bauer, whose invitation to perform female vocals with his band, Joey and The Waitress, fueled her emergence as a solo artist in 2014.
