About the Show: Dixie Rhythm is a seven-piece band, known for performing dixieland jazz at community events throughout the region. For this concert, the band will perform holiday tunes from their CD, A Dixie Christmas. Dixie Rhythm is comprised of trumpeter Dave Compton, pianist and vocalist John Hudson, clarinetist Julie Staggers, saxophonist Mark St. Amand, trombonist Steve Stephens, tuba player Nelson Breland, and drummer Terry Whitmire. Founded as a subgroup of the Clarke County Community Band, Dixie Rhythm has been delighting audiences in the Shenandoah Valley for more than 20 years!
Times: Doors open at 6:30 PM and concert starts at around 7:00 PM. The members of Dixie Rhythm will be performing with the Clarke County Community Band for the Berryville Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony in Rose Hill Park. The lighting ceremony will conclude at around 6:30 PM, at which time, Dixie Rhythm will set up at the Barns. Please anticipate some flexibility in the concert start time.
Ticket Information: This is a FREE event. There will be no advance tickets for this performance. All seating is first-come, first-served.
