About: Established by the German musician, Nils Frahm, in 2015, Piano Day, calls on piano enthusiasts around the world to celebrate this beloved instrument. Now well-known across the globe, Piano Day takes place on the 88th day of the year in reference to the 88 keys on a piano. Every year since its conception, this special day provokes special concerts, onstage and online, as well as radio shows, podcasts, and playlists.

Last year, hometown favorite Caleb Nei brought us the first live concert from his Wordless Flight Project—an undertaking born from the solitude of the pandemic, consisting of simple piano melodies, synth backgrounds, and effects. Listen Here »

This year, we look forward to experiencing Nei’s homage to the piano once again! Stay tuned for more information on what to expect from this accomplished pianist on what is assuredly one of his favorite days of the year.

Date & Time: Thursday, March 28, 2024. The concert will begin at noon. Feel free to pack a lunch and come and go as time allows.
