About: Start the new year off right! Join Hunter Nicole of Soulshine Medicine at the Barns of Rose Hill for six weeks of Hatha for Hip Mobility Yoga.

Designed to be gentle on knees and wrists, this style of yoga is also an excellent choice for those with injuries.

About the Instructor: In a traditional Hatha Yoga practice, you warm up the body through the isolation of joints and then hold postures for 1-3 minutes. This makes Hatha Yoga incredibly versatile, which is why I chose this asana practice to restore the mobility in my hips after suffering from 3 pelvic breaks in a car wreck. I was wheelchair-bound for multiple months and lost nearly all of my muscle mass, as well as most of my flexibility. After emerging from physical therapy, I knew I still had a lot of work to do!

These Hatha for Hip Mobility classes were designed by me to create flexibility and strength, two very important components of mobility, to get myself back to a healthy baseline. When I found myself back in a great place physically, I realized how useful these classes could be for others as well. I hope to continue to share this practice with my ever-growing community!
