90 Percent Mental, the Other Half Physical: The Evolution of Baseball in the 20th Century is presented by the Clarke County Historical Association (CCHA). Please direct all questions to CCHA at (540) 955-2600.

About: Baseball has stood as one of America's favorite sports for nearly 200 years. What began in the streets and backyards with homemade equipment and improvised rules transformed into the national pastime by the late 20th century. Through artifacts and historic photographs, CCHA Executive Director Nathan Stalvey will explore the evolution of the sport throughout the 20th century, covering changes in bats, pitching techniques, playing styles, and the games we enjoy today.

About CCHA: Founded in 1939, the Clarke County Historical Association (CCHA) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to preserving the history of Clarke County. It is their mission to preserve the historic resources and records of Clarke County and to foster their use, understanding, and enjoyment through stewardship and education.
