About the Program: Join us for the opening of an exhibit showcasing the unique mosaic designs of local artist Christy Dunkle. The longtime Community Development Director for the Town of Berryville, Dunkle seamlessly blends her professional and artistic pursuits, believing that art enriches our daily lives by evoking memories and making powerful social statements.
Inspired by nature, her mosaics are crafted from an array of natural and organic materials, including slate from across the United States and Scotland, 24-karat gold leaf, recycled roof tiles, and the striking black shale from the Youghiogheny River. Each piece in the exhibit is a testament to Dunkle's ability to transform these elements into captivating works of art that preserve history, create moods, and offer therapeutic value to both the artist and the viewer.
