Known mostly for his unique and powerful style of slide guitar playing, Colin Thompson is a young Washington D.C. area guitarist and singer who has been performing live since his young teenage years. His mix of swampy blues and soul-infused rock creates something that is truly special.
While often touring the U.S. and Europe playing guitar in his father Randy Thompson’s band, Colin has also opened for/shared the stage with artists such as, Johnny Winter, Cris Jacobs, Eric Gales, Bobby Thompson, Indigenous, Deanna Bogart, Popa Chubby, Rickie Simpkins (Tony Rice Unit, Seldom Scene), The Marshall Tucker Band, The Gin Blossoms, Billy Joe Shaver, Todd Park Mohr (Big Head Todd), Ron, Holloway, Tom Principato, Davy Knowls, Congo Sanchez (Thievery Corporation), The Nighthawks, and countless others.
Teddy Chipouras is one of those rare thoughtful singer songwriters that manages to lead the listener into profound situations through unapologetic imagery and prose. He is able to seamlessly incorporate unusual turns of phrase that are difficult to reproduce. His songs are simple in nature but complex and building in structure. His songs are catchy but thoughtful.
