Jeremy Bass is a guitarist from Berryville, Virginia. He is an avid performer of contemporary music, and is equally interested in exploring the vast historical literature for the guitar. In addition to classical guitar, he enjoys playing mandolin, lute, and electric guitar. He has premiered works by Luca Cori, David del Puerto, Juan Trigos, Daniele Venturi, Simone Fontanelli, Marc Yeats, and many others. Jeremy performs frequently with flutist Chelsea Czuchra, guitarist Mario Ortiz, bassoonist Cody Putman, and the UK Guitar Ensemble. He has been a fellow at SoundSCAPE and nief-norf, and a guest performer with Alia Musica Pittsburgh. Jeremy’s principal teachers were Dieter Hennings, Andrew Zohn, and Rafael Scarfullery. He holds a DMA from the University of Ke ntucky and a MM from Columbus State University. Jeremy currently lives in Lexington, Kentucky, where he teaches at the University of Kentucky and Georgetown College
