We are excited to collaborate with local artists and offer FREE Art Workshops for middle & high school students! This is a great opportunity to learn from a working artist plus ask questions about embarking on a career in the arts.
Wire-Work Sun Catchers:
Learn wire working techniques while making a sun catcher with local jewelry artist Rachel Rogers-Rodgers. Finished pieces will be 3-4″ across and suitable for display indoors or out. Materials will be provided and include copper wire and an assortment of glass and semi-precious gemstone beads.

Each workshop will be limited to 15 students. Materials and supplies included.
Registration is required. Please call us at 540-955-2004 or send an email to email@example.com.
The Student Art Workshops are made possible by a grant from the Marion Park Lewis Rappahannock Electric Cooperative’s Operation Round Up® (Power of Change)
About the Rachel Rogers-Rodgers:
Rachel is a jewelry artist and seamstress from Bluemont, Virginia who specializes in historically-inspired jewelry, accessories, and clothing. She creates the majority of her jewelry pieces using wire-working and cold forging techniques, but the fabrication possibilities have expanded as her studio has grown. She also conducts classes and workshop around the region.
