Community Conversations is a partnership between the Clarke County Branch of the Handley Regional Library and Barns of Rose Hill
Community residents are invited to join discussions to share their experiences and learn from their neighbors. All viewpoints are welcome. Each conversation will be led by a facilitator, and light refreshments will be available.
Are you interested in sharing your thoughts about issues facing our country and community? Join us for “Common Ground” a community conversation hosted by the Barns of Rose Hill and the Clarke County Library.
The goal this evening, is to not have lectures by experts, or a gripe session, but to have a frank conversation designed to foster communication between diverse groups of viewpoints. How can we talk and most importantly listen, respectfully, and with concern for one another? We want to support civil discourse. All are welcome, we strive to create community, not divide it.
People of all viewpoints are welcome to participate, and we are committed to creating an atmosphere that is polite and civil. People will be able to share experiences, opinions, and solutions to the problem of sharp division in the country. We are not here to debate the how of policy, but to find ways to discuss it. A trained moderator will be there to oversee discussion.
Doors open at 3:30 and conversation starts at 4:00 PM
Reservations can be made in advance either online or by calling the Barns of Rose Hill Box Office at 540-955-2004 (Noon to 3:00 – Tuesday through Saturday).
