About the Instructor:
Before moving to Los Angeles in 1989, Kathryn Milton taught a Theatre Class at Shenandoah University, where she directed a children’s production and designed lighting for a dance program. She also did set and lighting design for Wayside Theatre before accepting a full-time tenure position at Los Angeles Valley Community College in the Film and Theatre Arts Department.
As technical Director, she also enjoyed teaching the acting and directing classes, and being the faculty sponsor for the Lab Theatre for the advanced directing students.
Retirement brought her back to Virginia. She teaches acting classes at the Selah Theatre Project in Front Royal and is actively involved in their productions.
Kathryn is also involved in the restoration of the 1879 theatre building on Main street in Front Royal.
Kathryn graduated from Wayne State University, Detroit Michigan, with a BA in Technical Theatre and an MA in Directing.
